Stress & Anxiety
People experience stress and anxiety differently, and given certain short-term situations they are are not always bad and can serve a purpose as they can help you overcome an immediate challenge or dangerous situation. However, ongoing, or chronic stress and anxiety, can not only be debilitating to your everyday life, but they can also be the catalyst for serious medical and psychological issues, such as: trouble falling and staying asleep, stomach issues, frequent headaches and muscle tension. If you are avoiding situations due to irrational fears, constantly worrying, and/or are experiencing severe anxiety about a past traumatic event weeks after it happened, or, if you find that you’re becoming anxious, feeling “on edge”, becoming short-tempered and letting the smallest of issues set you off, you may want to seek help.

Depression
Depression is a common and serious problem that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can negatively impact your ability to function at work and at home.
Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include:
- Feeling sad or having a depressed mood
- Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed
- Changes in appetite — weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting
- Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
- Loss of energy or increased fatigue
- Feeling worthless or guilty
- Difficulty thinking, making decisions or concentrating
- Thoughts of death or suicide

General Individual Therapy
Sometimes we just feel “stuck”, frustrated, and unsure of what direction to take, or, sometimes we just need someone to listen. General Individual Therapy is a personal opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life. Individual therapy can help one deal with many personal topics in life such as anger, depression, anxiety, marriage and relationship challenges, parenting problems, school difficulties, career changes, loss of a loved one, etc. It also allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging or debilitating memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work towards a change.

Anger Management
Anger Management Counseling affords you an opportunity to learn more about your anger, its root cause, and the triggers that set this emotion off. The way you feel and express yourself in your day to day life can most often be connected to feelings and emotions that you have experienced in a negative way in your past that may somehow not yet be resolved. When this connection is explored during therapy, you will begin to gain new insight which will help you be more aware of your feelings and learn to better understand the nature of your anger and its origin and how to control this emotion.
